1. Describe your Business and founders.

We are a Real Estate Property Development company based in Eastern India. Established in 2017, the company has shown a steady growth YoY. We primarily operate in residential and commercial properties. Our expertise is in building premium properties. We focus on building high quality construction and enhancing customer experience.

The company was founded by Mr. Pramod Kumar Mohanty and Mr. Subham Mohanty. Mr. Pramod has more than 15 years of experience in the real estate industry. His expertise in Construction management and Legal Verifications plays a crucial role for the company.

Mr. Subham has more than 4 years of experience in the industry. He has certification on RERA laws by National Law School of India University, Bangalore. He is also certified with Real Estate Business management. His interests in technology can be reflected in work where he brings in modern solutions to solve different problems. He plays a crucial role in the company's Marketing and Sales.

2.What is the biggest challenge of being a CEO and how do you overcome it?

In my experience, having a strong organizational culture in the company is the biggest challenge. This is a subtle thing and gets matured with time. The company faces many ups and downs, but the culture keeps driving the enthusiasm of its members towards growth.

We made it fun to solve this challenge. People together make and maintain a culture, so our culture has been established by the whole team itself. We all gave our inputs and brought a consensus. This is how we have made a culture charter and every member happily follows it. New amendments are brought through the consensus of the whole team.

3. Where do you see the company in the next five years and how will you bring about the change?

We have plans to make our company a prominent Real Estate Brand in Eastern India.

For this we are focusing on Quality, Innovation and Value. We have a strict scrutiny on our construction qualities by a robust review mechanism. Through this we provide the best

value to our customers for their investments. We also focus a lot on building strong customer relationships and to provide a smooth customer journey. Again, innovation and creativity is needed to make us stand out. We invest a lot of our time and effort to equip us with innovative solutions to counter conventional problems.

If we can maintain these attributes consistently in our work, then of course we can easily achieve our target.

4. Did you ever feel like giving up on being a CEO and what motivated you to pull this off?

Never. I have always enjoyed my role. It’s because I have been passionate about the things I do.

As a leader, facing ups and downs is common. Challenges can appear both internally and externally. It’s better to be prepared and focus on the process. It’s really important to have clarity on every aspect of your work and company so that whenever a challenge appears, you can find its root cause and solve it. Preparedness is also required along with internal motivation.

5. Describe your biggest achievement. Winning hearts and confidence of the team.

Believe me, nothing is more precious for a leader to have his team’s faith. If your team knows you can do it, and is happy to work with you, that’s a big thing you need to drive a company towards success. Also, as you spend most of your time with them, this particular thing boosts your self-confidence. So I consider this as my biggest achievement.

6. From where you get the idea for business?

I belong to a business family. This made a big impact on my career goal to pursue business. This resulted in starting my entrepreneurial journey during my engineering days.

We viewed a problem and gap for value driven innovative real estate companies in the industry, so we started our journey to fill in this gap.

7. What was your aim to start the company?

Personally I aim to create an impactful career. Business gives me this opportunity to have a positive impact on society at scale.

8. Tell us some of your failures.

I would say, I have seen many small failures in my journey. This way I learnt how to fail fast and small.

I remember during my studies I started my first business idea. I borrowed some money and tried to build a Dine Out kind of startup. I was young and tech savvy. I immediately jumped to create the platform and started marketing. Later on when we launched it, we realized there are many challenges that appear on the vendor side. It’s easy to market and bring in an audience, but vendor and platform management became so hard and frustrating. We were not prepared for it, and eventually we stopped our operations. I learnt a lesson to validate the idea first and then implement it. And also, try to solve problems with simple solutions. Don’t get driven by technology.

9. What is the role of your family in your successful career?

A lot. Family gives us confidence, support and stability. As I come from a business family, I learnt a lot from them. My father has been a constant support and educator for me. He always appreciates my ideas and lets me implement them and learn from them.

Also, my spiritual family has also played a very key role. I feel, balancing our materialistic and spiritual life can give outstanding results. I follow the philosophy of Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj. It really opened up my mind and gave me a new perspective of life. His preachers HH Raseshwari Devi Ji and Swami Yugal Sharan Ji have a crucial role in shaping my personality and mindset. I have learnt a lot by volunteering for the organization.

I consider both these families as the backbone of all the success I achieve.

10. What is your message to the young generations and to their parents?

It’s really important to work on FOCUS in this era for the youngsters. It’s pretty easy to get distracted and prolong your success.

Also it’s very important to understand your parent’s points. You and they both want a comfortable life for you. The approach may be different. So consider their points with an open mind and try to convince them with your point in case of conflict. Back your points with some proof and your growth data. Parents will definitely understand you if they see the value for you. All they want is your happiness.

Again, parents should also understand their childrens’ points with an open mind. Sometimes they need to keep their parental egos aside and explore their child’s interests. Let them fall and learn from mistakes. That will make your child stronger and mature. Your support is very important for your child.

Both parents and youngsters need to work on narrowing down the generation gap.
