1. Describe about your Business and founders

Bizget App is a short video platform to connect businesses and consumers in a community. We help local businesses to market their products and services through short videos. Sellers don’t need to make friends or followers, but simply post a 10 seconds video showcasing their businesses. These videos will appear on the feed of users in and around the region. Users can just swipe through the videos of products and services available near them.
I, Sreenath Viswanathan, am the sole founder. I am a Post Graduate Civil Engineer from Manipal University. I have worked in Dubai for 2 years as Civil Engineer. My first venture into the business world is through a gaming centre in Malappuram called Infinity Square, with Bizget App being my second venture.

2.What is the biggest challenge of being a CEO and how do you overcome it?

Biggest challenge is being able to work on different aspects like Branding, Marketing, Designing, and even as a Salesman. As a startup, I have to do the things economically and take up a whole lot of responsibilities. It has been a challenging journey working more than 16 hours daily for months.
It was not very difficult to overcome these challenges as I was happy enough to learn new things in the respective fields. Looking back to the past few months, I am proud enough with the transformations I have made in myself, being able to work hard, interacting with experts in various fields and dealing with different kinds of people. Seeing the brand being established keeps me going forward.

3. Where do you see the company in the next five years and how will you bring about the change?

We have a well defined plan of growth. In 5 years, Bizget App will be the most trusted marketplace in India. We will be able to provide jobs to more than 100 Indians. We will create a business in every home by providing a platform where the users can make their passion a business in a single day.
We will reach these goals by expanding slowly starting from Kerala. We are currently covering the districts of Kerala one by one. After which we will start marketing into nearby states and so on. Our major marketing will be done through influencers and by social media promotions.

4. Did you ever feel like giving up on being a CEO and what motivated you to pull this off?

I never felt like giving up and going back to a rat race. I was brave enough to come out of my comfort zone. I am motivated enough everyday to work harder than the day before. I am prepared enough to fail harder and start over.
I think this attitude keeps me going.

5. Describe your biggest achievement

As a startup, we have just begun our journey and we have not yet been profitable enough to boast our achievements. But every sale generated for a business, listed in our app is a huge achievement of acceptance for our startup.
And as a person from a completely different background, being a founder of a Tech startup, I hope I can motivate people struggling in their career, to look wider into the market and find opportunities in different domains.

6.From where you get the idea for business?

In 2019 I started a gaming parlor in Malappuram, Kerala. When there was need for local marketing, I noticed that there are no specific platforms for my needs. I wanted to generate leads from that specific locality and social media targeting was expensive and inefficient. I started noticing that every local business needs an affordable platform that is trusted by the users to showcase their products and services. That’s when I decided to make one.

7. What was your aim to start the company?

I wanted to make a platform where businesses can possibly start getting orders or enquiries on the same day of posting videos, without having to make friends or followers. They are directly reaching the nearby users once they post a 10 second video showcasing their business. To maintain the authenticity of businesses in our platform, we support only genuine camera videos and not any uploads from video gallery.

8. Tell us some of your failures

I would name them as Successful failures. As the famous proverb goes, failures are always the stepping stones. We grow when we learn from our failures and use that knowledge in going forward. If we never fail, we keep thinking that we are always right and we never realize what is wrong. We have made enough mistakes in our journey and we still make them, starting from our brand name, which was initially Biznesman App. We were able to change it as soon as it was realized that the name was too much focused on sellers and will be difficult to brand it for normalconsumers. I verified the concern with many experts in the field and changed the name to Bizget without any hesitation. Accepting our mistake and correcting them at the earliest is better than trying to prove that we were right.

9. What is the role of your family in your successful career?

I won’t call it successful until I am profitable enough to match my previous job. Because money matters as much as my mental happiness in doing this.
My family has no business background and they wanted me to continue in a job. There was pressure from all sides and it was a very tough decision to quit my job and get into this business. Because it is a risky game and the best products may also fail, I can never blame them for their fear. But I am fortunate enough that they accepted my choice even when they were not very happy about it. And now it’s my duty to make them proud of it.

10. What is your message to the young generations and to their parents?

It would be cliche if I ask them to follow their passion while choosing a career. Don’t just look into the theoretical part of easiness in learning the skill or the scope of getting into a job in that field. I would ask them to go and visit people doing in their dream job or dream business. Try to follow their job routines for few days and make sure if that is what they want to do in their life. Make sure that doing the same would give them the happiness and satisfaction.
Ensure that you will enjoy doing it, even if you don’t have much of a monetary benefit in doing it. I'd ask parents to take the responsibility of doing this and make children realize what their dream looks like in reality
