Rakshana Azhar – Founder, DIET4U WELLNESS

I am Mrs. Rakshana Azhar. I did my graduation in Clinical Nutrition, followed by a Master's in Dietetics and Food Service Management. Later, I started my career in the dietitian field as a passion. I have started working with top brands in the medical field in India’s capital and joined Apollo hospital as my first assignment. Then I got an opportunity to work with MAX Super Specialty Hospital Delhi as a Dietitian. After 3 years of good experience, I joined a country-renowned hospital, Lilavati Hospital Mumbai, and my journey continued in the same field with all good brands like VLCC Healthcare Mumbai. After 6 years of experience, I completed my PG Diploma in Diabetes Educator and set up my start-up, DIET4U, in February 2018. It’s been 4 years of my service as a professional dietitian in consultation with various medical practitioners (Doctors, Hospital etc.). I have provided my services to over 2500 clients.

My company, DIET4U WELLNESS, was established in the year of February 2018 with the objective of serving society for better health. Provided today's changes in food habits and lifestyles of people, which might result in a sedentary lifestyle. Dietitians play a vital role in keeping people fit and healthy.

Indeed, the Indian food style is healthy if we plan and schedule our meals properly. As far as changing the Indian food style by accepting Chinese food, Thai food, and western foods like pizza, burgers, junk food, preserved foods, etc. in the market.

As per my experiences and practices, reference books have been the best source for medication and food interactions. Attending seminars, workshops, training, health camps, awareness programs, etc. is also a very helpful source for choosing medication and food interactions with the clients.

 

Importance of vitamins in a healthy body

Vitamins are very essential for our body as they help balance body nutrition and also keep the body working appropriately. Proper vitamins in the body assist in staying away from infections. Being a dietitian, it is always important to understand the client's medical history as well as their current body functions. Consequently, the client can be guided by ensuring all the vitamins are being prescribed to the individual as per requirement.

 

When do we need a dietician?

Any person who has got a habit of eating inappropriate food or taking meals at the wrong times may suffer from poor health issues like being overweight, diabetes, digestive issues, PCOD, and fatty liver. They should visit the dietitian to show that they are not dependent on medicines. Ideally, the frequency of visits to a dietitian depends on the individual's needs as per his/her requirements. It is also recommended to visit a dietitian once a month for a longer-lasting result.

 

Clients achievement

Following any diet is not at all difficult, but in today’s life, people don’t give priority to following a diet. To ensure my clients are achieving their goals, I have to make sure that my focus is to make my clients more disciplined and to show them regular improvements that help them achieve targets.
