Dr. Barnana Bhattacharya, Assistant

I'm Dr. Barnana Bhattacharya, an
Assistant Professor with expertise in Economics and Business Economics. I bring
a wealth of experience to the table, not only as an educator but also as a soft
skills trainer and dancer. My teaching philosophy revolves around using
innovative methodologies to create dynamic learning environments that empower
students to excel academically and personally. Whether I'm in the classroom or
on the dance floor, my aim is to inspire and guide individuals towards their
fullest potential.

educational qualifications?
I hold a Ph.D. in Economics from Techno
India University, along with a Master's degree from Rabindra Bharati University
and a Bachelor's degree from Vidyasagar College for Women, University of
Calcutta, Kolkata. Additionally, I've pursued various professional
certifications to further enhance my skills and expertise.
Can you tell us about your
professional journey?
With nine years of professional
experience, I've dedicated over eight years to the education sector. From
serving as an Invitee Lecturer at Azad Hind Fouj Smriti Mahavidyalaya to my
current role as an Assistant Professor at ICA EDU SKILLS Pvt. Ltd., I've
continually strived to create impactful learning environments and nurture
student success.

I've contributed to several publications
and research endeavors, including papers on topics such as the Public
Distribution System, migrant agro-workers in India, and women in leadership
roles. Additionally, I've presented papers at various national and international
seminars and conferences.

My expertise lies in educational
technology, assessment and evaluation, diverse teaching modalities, cultivating
student leadership, lecturing, training, and research. I'm committed to staying
abreast of emerging trends and continuously evolving educational methodologies.

research journey?
My research journey has been
characterized by a deep commitment to exploring pertinent economic issues and
contributing to the advancement of knowledge. From investigating the impact of
FDI and institutions to addressing issues such as gender biases and women in
leadership roles, I've consistently pursued research endeavors aimed at
creating positive societal impact.
What achievement from your
career are you most proud of?
Reflecting on my journey thus far, I
find myself profoundly grateful for the diverse roles I've had the privilege to
undertake and the opportunities to contribute meaningfully. Serving as a
Research Associate at both ISI (Indian Statistical Institute) and the School of
Women Studies, JU (Jadavpur University), Kolkata, has allowed me to immerse
myself in research endeavors aimed at addressing pressing societal issues,
particularly in the realm of gender equality.
Transitioning into various capacities,
including my role as a Trainer and Groomer at CSTARI (Central Staff Training
and Research Institute), has deepened my appreciation for the power of
education and skill development in fostering positive change. Working with
government staff members to enhance their professional capabilities has been a
humbling experience, and I'm thankful for the opportunity to contribute to
their growth.
Moreover, my involvement as a Board
Member at Philomel Public School has provided me with invaluable insights into
the intricacies of educational governance and the importance of fostering an
inclusive learning environment. Collaborating with fellow board members to
shape the school's educational vision has been both rewarding and enlightening.
Outside the realm of academia, serving as
the General Secretary of the Swayangsiddha Foundation has been a source of
great fulfillment. Contributing to the organization's mission of social
empowerment and co-creating a better life for all has been an honor, and I'm
grateful for the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of
others.
Additionally, my role as an Assistant
Professor at ICA EDU SKILLS Pvt. Ltd. stands out as a testament to my
commitment to nurturing the academic and personal growth of students.
Witnessing the remarkable progress of the department and facilitating the development
of future leaders has been an incredibly rewarding experience.
As I reflect on these experiences, I am
reminded of the importance of humility and gratitude. While I am proud of the
contributions I've made thus far, I am also acutely aware that there is much
more to learn and accomplish. Each opportunity has been a stepping stone on a
journey of continuous growth and learning, and I look forward to the challenges
