1. What was your ambition in life, when you were a child?

A child has infinite number of dreams right! I was also like that. My dream was changing very often. Whenever I saw a good personality, I wanted to be like that. But the one thing I was most attracted towards was “Art”. I have always been interested in arts. Arts mean any kind of, it may be drawing, dancing, acting, singing or managing. I used to be very much excited when there was any kind of event like annual function, a seminar or any other competitions in school because I always used to love to participate and coordinate in the events. But I had no idea at that time that one day I’m going to make my career where I will utilize these skills. So in short I was actually not aware of my ambition when I was a kid. I had no idea what I should do till my graduation.

2. What are the roles of your parents in your success journey?

Of course without my parents’ help I could never be able to come to this position. My father has always been my inspiration and my role model. I lost him when I was 15. But I remember some of his best advices which will help me till I die and I’m never going to forget them. After this misery, my mom, who had always been confined in a small village and never went to outside in her life, left that place and shifted to another town only because we can get a better education. The sacrifices she has made, I can’t describe in words. She never failed to fulfill our wishes. My elder sister, she is not only sister but equal to a parent for me. I can say that only because she was there, I could concentrate on my studies well. She was handling every matter in the family and never put a single pressure on me so that I can study without any stress. I’m always grateful to them.

3. At which moment you felt proud of yourself?

I went to a national level HR Conclave to present a paper with my two teammates. Many other participants were there from different states. When the other teams were giving presentation, everyone was just listening to the presenter and very few people asked questions to them. But when we started our presentation, judges started asking question in the middle of our presentation and said we will be given more time to present the topic. Even all the other participants also interacted with us. That felt really good. And the presentation timing was only 8 minutes. No one had completed their presentation in that much of time except us. We got the third position. But the interesting thing was, while distributing the prize, the participants who were sitting in our behind, were discussing that our team is going to get the first prize. Getting compliment from the competitors is a great thing for me. So, that was the most proud moment for me.

4. How did you face the utmost struggle in your career?

I never got below 70% in my whole career till Intermediate. In 1st semester of graduation also I got 8.6 CGPA. But suddenly in second sem, I got a paper back in Math. My Hons. was Chemistry and pass papers were math and physics. I got very good marks in other papers but  got a back in math. I was shocked. Not only me but almost 80% students in the whole university got their paper back only in math. All students did strikes, sent application to the university etc. etc. After some days the university gave a notice that they will do a re-correction and will publish the result within 7 days but nothing happened. After few days, we got a notice for back paper exam. We had to give the exam again. But, the result of that back paper exam was not out till I completed my 6th semester. All other students joined for post graduation but I was waiting for back paper result. I was really disturbed at that time. Finally, results were out when PG classes were going to start. I secured a good mark in math and 8.6 CGPA in whole graduation. I was very stressed and depressed during the end of my graduation but my family supported me a lot. Even I started doubting myself but my family and my friends never stopped trusting me.

5. Is exam playing a role of talent-meter? What's your opinion about it?

We can’t say exactly that exam is a talent-meter. Because, sometimes you know some extra topics but that question is not in the exams. If the question is not there in the exam, that doesn’t mean you don’t know about that extra thing right! So you can’t measure someone’s actual knowledge by few questions that come in exams. By conducting exams, you may know how much you can recall at that particular time and how you can present those things on paper in those 2-3 hours. Still exams are important for students. It can’t measure the exact knowledge but you may know it up to some extent. Also the revisions you do before exam will refine your memory and you can remember the things for a long time.

6. Do you really get inferior when your friend scored more marks than you?

Not really.  Because I never took marks that much seriously that I’ll feel inferior to someone. And if someone is getting more marks than me then that is a good thing that he/she is able to learn the things quickly. And if my friend gets more marks, then I’m even more relieved because I can ask my doubts and can learn lot of things from him/her. And I really wish my friends can get not only more marks but also get more knowledge than me. So that sometimes I will also get to learn from them.

7. What is your next focus in life?

Currently I’m pursuing MBA in HR. I like to study people. So I want to gain a lot of experience in this field and want to learn every possible thing related to HR. And I wish to get into the highest position in HR within some years. I hope my knowledge can do something for society. I want to help out people and will try to share everything I have learned or going to learn.
