About P C Nithish Kumar, CEO & Managing director of Boolean Staffing and Recruitment Solutions Pvt Ltd

"Hello, everyone. My name is Pachalli Krishna Chandran Nithish Kumar, and I'm here to tell you about my journey with Boolean and how Boolean is transforming the way businesses hire and staff for their consumers.

I was born and raised in Coorg, which is known as the "Scotland of India." My parents and grandparents influenced me to prioritise my schoolwork and extracurricular activities. Throughout my school and college years, I excelled in the classroom and was the year's top student. In addition, I was named the best outstanding student of the year in 2017 by Cauvery College Gonikoppal Coorg. In addition, was named the GIBS Business School Bangalore's Best Talent Student of the Year for 2019. After completing my MBA, I worked as an HR generalist in a private company for a year before joining Boolean as Managing Director at the age of 22. I am proud to be one of India's youngest entrepreneurs. Along with that, my business partner Kuldeep Singh Shekhawat, son of Rajendra Singh, has given me the best prize I've ever gotten (Founder of Boolean). I've learnt so much from him, both personally and professionally, and he will always hold a special place in my heart. Boolean started with merely dreams, but now we have a fantastic place in the industry. We serve the world's leading MNCs and Indian pride brands such as Raymonds, Danone, Parle, Bajaj, Impetus, and many more. Soon, Boolean will offer online training sessions as well as logistics and transportation services.

Tips on hiring and growing a team of employees

When we started, we are only two of us but now we have 30+ members in team excluding freelancers,

Tips:

When hiring for expansion, it's critical to assess your company's stage. Are you a start-up in its early stages or nearing maturity? We're expanding quickly, therefore we're looking for applicants who can contribute at our present size and scale with us as we expand. It's difficult to foresee whether an employee's growth will coincide with the firms, or whether the company will be able to utilise an employee's specialised abilities in the future. We've been dealing with the issue of expansion since the beginning of our organisation, and we've experienced both achievements and disappointments. We've learned a lot along the road about the obstacles of hiring for growth - specifically, how to overcome those challenges and build a work climate in which employees and the firm can both thrive.

  1. If you're a start-up, you'll normally hire more generalists because you'll require individuals that are comfortable wearing multiple hats. Generalists are also less expensive because they can handle a wide range of jobs, but it may take numerous experts to complete the same tasks thoroughly.

  2. The worst thing you can do is form a corporation comprised entirely of people who share your beliefs. When everyone in your organisation comes from the same skillset or has the same set of talents, you lose variety of thought, putting innovation at danger. To combat this, get out of your comfort zone. Attend networking events and meetups outside of your usual travel groups. Attend these events in adjacent cities where you can meet new people. Alternatively, pick a company you admire and inquire about their hiring process and how they find talent.

  3. it's critical to approach hiring from a business standpoint. Invest in employees whose interests coincide with the work you're asking them to do, and make sure they have lots of opportunities to advance within the organisation. You'll end up with a group of employees who are flexible, dedicated, and always looking ahead if you cultivate an environment where employee growth inspires company success and vice versa.

Do you do for encouragement or to be motivated?

Motivation is what propels us to action - yet remaining motivated isn't always simple. Motivation is what propels you toward a goal, what gets you out of bed in the morning, and what keeps you pushing through a task, determined to accomplish even when things get difficult. Motivation, on the other hand, can be both positive and negative: Positive motivation focuses on the positive outcomes that will occur if you take action. 'Finishing this task implies I'm only a step away from being qualified,' for example. Negative motivations are preoccupied with the negative consequences of inaction. For example, 'I'll flunk my course if I don't do this homework in the next several hours’.

How did you persevere through the tough times?

"Don't give up!"

"Be tenacious!"

"Never, ever give up!"

How did you decide what market to target?

Markets are groups of consumers who have a common problem to address. As an example, consider the soft drink market. Then, each corporation can divide the market into categories based on whatever arbitrary criteria it deems most appropriate. Because consulting firms' customers are businesses, segmentation could be done by revenue, industry, number of workers, and so on. Then, each company selects its target market, or the market on which it intends to concentrate its efforts. Companies in the same industry may opt to target distinct markets. For example, one consulting firm may want to target medium-sized technology companies, but another may prefer to target market leaders in any field. It's tough to say which market "consulting businesses" are aiming for because there are so many different kinds.

About influenced personalities

As we go through life, we are influenced by a wide spectrum of people. For example, whether we like it or not, our parents have the most sway over us. To grow in life, however, we must learn from sources other than our parents. Teachers in high school and college affected my worldview to varying degrees throughout my life. Furthermore, the team leader with whom I previously worked played an important part in my development.
