Hi, my name is Khima Nand Sharma. Since my childhood, I have been very fond of gadgets and electronics. Later on, when I was doing my graduation, I was thinking of doing a business. But since I am not from a very financially strong background, I started a diploma in Hardware & Networking, and later on, after completing my graduation and diploma, I started a job as a field engineer. After 8 years in my job, I started my own company, DK Technologies, in February 2015, and I am still working hard to scale up my business.

Initially, DK Technologies was only a laptop and desktop repair service center. Later on, we started onsite calls for CCTV, Networking, Printers etc. and started Annual Maintenance on them. Gradually, we have scaled up our customer database and started working with corporations like TCS, Hitachi Microclinic, Emami Ltd., etc. We generally try to understand the problem first, update our customers with technical details, and provide a solution based on that. We also supply genuine spare parts that carry a warranty.

 

What makes DK Technologies stand out from the others?

We are not like other vendors who simply sell and then expect customers to get support from the OEMs. Following sales and repair work, we offer complete customer support and attend to their every need. In short, we always try to keep our customers' bonds with our services.

 

What are the challenges you faced while choosing the right team?

The main challenge was finding dedicated people, who are positive and confident in whatever they do.

 

What do you think is the biggest risk to the company?

Material sold on credit and if it is a cash purchase, may bring any small company down since further orders will have to be dependent on the payment, which is generally not on time and without credit, you will not be able to work with any small or big companies.

 

What are your goals over the next 12 months?

This financial year, I have set a goal to enhance our company's reach outside Kolkata, with an AMC of at least 60 companies, a team with at least 15 service engineers, and a good turnover of over 2 cr. Also, we will work on retaining our old customers to whom we may not be able to provide proper service for any reason.

 

What are you truly passionate about?

Upcoming cutting-edge technologies make me most passionate.
