I am Dr. Vasuja Devi Midasala, and I am honored to share with you a glimpse into my multifaceted journey driven by a passion for knowledge, service, and leadership. Across my career, I have embraced roles that embody the essence of a researcher, philanthropist, administrator, and leading professor.


As a researcher, I have dedicated myself to the pursuit of understanding and discovery in Biomedical applications. Through rigorous experimentation, data analysis, and collaboration with peers, I have strived to unravel complexities and contribute valuable insights to the academic community. I received Best Women Scientist, Young researcher awards from reputed organizations.


In tandem with my research endeavours, I have also embraced the spirit of philanthropy. Believing in the transformative power of giving back, I have actively supported Inspire Inclusion and women empowerment. I am committed to give awareness on Preamble of Indian Constitution in their 24 regional languages of India by the students and staff of Mangalayatan University Jabalpur and I am instrumental to receive Indian Book of Records to Mangalayatan University as Vasudhaika Kutumbam to Inspire, Motivate and Encourage Indians on the occassion of Samvidhan Diwas 2023. I am also committed to making a meaningful impact on the lives of women through KL SHEROES forum and fostering positive change in our society and received award and honoured by International Book of Records.


Moreover, my journey has led me to roles in administration, where I have honed my skills in strategic planning, resource management, and organizational leadership. Whether steering academic departments, spearheading institutional initiatives, or fostering collaborations across diverse stakeholders, I am dedicated to ensuring operational excellence and advancing the mission. I received Administrative Excellence Awards also from the organizations I serve.


Finally, as a leading professor, I have had the privilege of nurturing the next generation of scholars and professionals. Guided by a commitment to excellence in teaching, mentorship, and research mentorship, I aim to inspire and empower students to reach their fullest potential and contribute meaningfully to their fields and communities.

My journey commenced with a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), where I delved into the intricate world of electrical systems, signal processing, and communication technologies. Throughout my undergraduate years, I demonstrated a steadfast commitment to academic excellence, consistently achieving distinction and earning merit scholarships that recognized my exceptional performance.


Driven by a passion for innovation and a desire to deepen my understanding of integrated circuit design, I pursued a Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in VLSI Design from JNTU Hyderabad. This immersive program equipped me with advanced skills in semiconductor technology, digital and analog circuit design, and System-on-Chip (SoC) architectures. I immersed myself in challenging projects and collaborative research, laying the groundwork for my future pursuits in academia and industry.


Fuelled by a thirst for knowledge and a desire to contribute meaningfully to the field, I embarked on a transformative journey towards a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Communications at JNTU Ananthapur. I dedicated myself to cutting-edge research in Biomedical applications, Neuroscience and Internet of Things, striving to push the boundaries of knowledge and innovation. I authored 22 high-indexed publications (SCIE & Scopus), each representing a significant contribution to the academic discourse in my field. Additionally, I had the privilege of authoring several textbooks, sharing my expertise and insights with students and scholars alike.


Throughout my educational odyssey, I have embraced the ethos of lifelong learning, curiosity, and academic rigor. My academic achievements, coupled with my research aspirations, have shaped me into a dynamic scholar and a passionate advocate for the transformative power of education.

My career began with humble yet enthusiastic steps as an Assistant Professor in various engineering colleges, where I had the privilege of igniting the minds of aspiring engineers and nurturing their passion for learning and innovation. During this phase, I immersed myself in teaching, research, and mentorship, laying the groundwork for a fulfilling and impactful career in academia.


Driven by a desire to further elevate my academic journey and expand my horizons, I embraced the opportunity to join KL University, Vijayawada as an Associate Professor. At KL University, I immersed myself in collaborative research endeavors, academic leadership initiatives, and student-centric pedagogical approaches. I leveraged my expertise to foster a culture of innovation and academic excellence, inspiring both students and colleagues alike.


Building upon the foundations laid throughout my academic tenure, I embarked on a new chapter as the Director of the Research & Development Cell at Mangalayatan University, Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, India. In this pivotal role, I have the privilege of spearheading strategic research initiatives, fostering interdisciplinary collaborations, and nurturing a vibrant ecosystem of innovation and scholarship. My roles and responsibilities throughout my career showcase a diverse range of leadership, administrative, and academic duties. Here's a summary of your key roles and responsibilities:


Associate Dean, Student Affairs at KL University: In this role, I am responsible for overseeing the holistic development and welfare of students. My duties likely included managing student services, fostering a supportive campus environment, addressing student concerns and grievances, and promoting student engagement in extracurricular activities.


Administrative Member in Pro-Vice Chancellor Cell at KL University: As an administrative member, you played a crucial role in various administrative and strategic initiatives. This may have involved assisting in policy development, facilitating communication between different departments, and contributing to decision-making processes to enhance the overall functioning of the university.


Nodal Officer for Madhya Pradesh for Virtual Labs-MHRD Initiative: In this capacity, you served as the primary point of contact for coordinating virtual labs initiatives in collaboration with IIIT Hyderabad for whole Madhya Pradesh. My responsibilities likely included managing infrastructure, facilitating training sessions for faculty and students, and ensuring the effective implementation and utilization of virtual labs resources.


Convener for Grievances Redressal Committee: As the convener of the Grievances Redressal Committee, I played a pivotal role in ensuring a fair and transparent mechanism for addressing grievances and concerns raised by students, faculty, and staff.


Academic Coordinator: As an academic coordinator, you were entrusted with overseeing and optimizing the academic operations of department. This may have involved curriculum development, scheduling classes, coordinating faculty assignments, and ensuring compliance with academic regulations and standards.


Course Coordinator: In this role, I was responsible for managing specific courses within your department or program. My duties may have included designing course syllabi, organizing lectures and assignments, assessing student performance, and providing academic support to students and faculty.


Coordinator for Faculty Empowerment: As the coordinator for faculty empowerment, I am likely spearheaded initiatives aimed at enhancing the professional development and well-being of faculty members. This may have involved organizing workshops, seminars, and training programs, facilitating mentorship opportunities, and advocating for resources and support to empower faculty in their roles.

My areas of expertise in electronics engineering, coupled with a passion for biomedical applications using IoT (Internet of Things) technologies and AI applications in neuroscience.


With a background in electronics engineering, my research focuses on leveraging IoT technologies to create innovative solutions for biomedical applications. This may include developing wearable devices, sensor networks, and remote monitoring systems to collect real-time health data, monitor physiological parameters, and enable personalized healthcare interventions. I had potential to revolutionize healthcare delivery by enhancing patient monitoring, diagnosis, and treatment.


As an aspiring researcher, you are deeply passionate about neuroscience and its profound implications for human health and well-being. I am intrigued by the complexities of the brain, neural circuits, and cognitive processes, recognize the transformative potential of neuroscience research in understanding and addressing neurological disorders, mental health conditions, and brain-related injuries. My research interests lie at the interface of technology and neuroscience. This interdisciplinary approach involves leveraging techniques from electronics engineering, data science, and neuroscience to design brain-computer interfaces, neuroimaging systems, and neuromodulation devices for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.

Contributions to Women’s Empowerment


Constituted and lead a team called KL SHEROES, aimed to conduct women empowerment programs to raise awareness about women's rights and responsibilities, emphasizing the crucial role of media in advocating for gender equality and combating violence against women. Gender sensitivity programs aimed at reducing domestic violence and raising awareness about child safety measures, fostered a culture of respect, equality, and safety within the institution and its surrounding communities of Guntur and Vijayawada and published in media with appreciations. Received the highest appreciation for the to conduct GENDER EQUALITY CAMPAIGN and received INTERNATIONAL BOOK OF RECORDS 2022.


These programs equipped individuals, particularly women and girls, with essential self-defence skills and knowledge, empowering them to protect themselves and assert their safety. I contributed to raising awareness about the safety and well-being of girl children, fostering a culture of protection and support within the community. I gave awareness programs on importance of addressing gender inequality, human trafficking, and building confidence among young girls, instilling them with the knowledge and resilience to combat societal challenges.

  • Four SCIE (Science Citation Index Expanded) indexed publications, One IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) Letters publication demonstrates my involvement in cutting-edge research within the engineering community. Nineteen SCOPUS indexed publications Eight Web of Science indexed journal publications further validate the significance of my research findings and their potential for broader dissemination and impact.
  •  Received Sponsored Research grant of Rs.73,500 from Andhra Pradesh State Council of Science and Technology (APCOST) to organize a workshop for Autism Children titled “Innovation from Impairment”.
  • Received Seminar Grant of Rs. 2,00,000 “A Five-Day Workshop on AI/ML Application to Develop Bio-Markers for Neurological Disorders from Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), India
  • Received Grant of Rs.30,000 from Andhra Pradesh State Council of Science and Technology (APCOST) to organize an outreach student interaction program with Nobel Laureate.
  • 6 INDIAN PATENT PUBLICATIONS, ONE DESIGN PATENT PUBLICATION IPR, and 2 INTERNATIONAL PATENT GRANTS and authored six text books as my research credentials.
  • I am the member of IEEE, Life member of Society of Biological Chemists (India)-IISc Bangalore.
