Passionate Professor and Motivator with around 20 years of teaching, administrative, and research experience. An outstanding performer awardee and received twice the best faculty award for professional excellence and commitment. International exposure with expertise in video content creation and a recipient of the Erasmus Plus grant. Active researcher with 46 publications in peer-reviewed journals, 2 patents published and one filed, supervising 5 research scholars (1 received Doctorate), authored 10 book chapters, a book, and a monograph. A successful record in administrative abilities as a student development coordinator actively involved in steering, planning, and the implementation of student development activities and in student affairs. A Mentor, Influential speaker, Psychologist, Innovation ambassador, Institution innovation council convener, and Mentor of Change as selected by NITI Aayog, Govt. of India, for schools towards educational and societal transformation.
Educational and Professional Journey
“Teaching is one aspect I’m ever passionate about." The objective of life is to see “No student has fear about learning." As a mentor, researcher, and administrator, the professional journey associated with student centric development is quite exciting and productive. Touching lives through education and bringing transformative change in the student’s learning process and approach towards LIFE”. A successful journey in this direction will make hundreds of students' learning experiences as exciting as possible.
Research, Patents and Grants
46 peer reviewed publications, 2 published patents and 1 applied, 10 book chapters, research grants for seminars, Erasmus Plus grants for international conference travel and knowledge exchange, and mentoring of innovative student projects are a glimpse of the research experience.
- Significant contribution as a Review committee member of the institution for granting SEED MONEY in encouraging innovative projects
- Mentored Innovation Club projects of the institution and was associated with Sathyabama Technology Business Incubation (TBI) in facilitating the transformation of student ideas into products and startups.
- Active in multi-disciplinary research under the supervision of five research scholars in diverse areas of micro-electronics, Vedic Mathematics, Wireless Sensor Networks, Neuroscience, and Psychology.
- Received grants from AICTE-SPICES, DST-SERB, ERASMUS PLUS towards sustainable innovation ecosystem development, conducting FDPs, Seminars and for student development activities.
- Created an impact among the rural student community with School on Wheels, an innovative project of the Student Development Cell for knowledge dissemination to schoolchildren in rural and sub-urban regions of Chennai, India, which was inaugurated by Dr.Mariazeena Johnson, Chancellor of the Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology on 12/10/2018.
As a Mentor for change,
NITI Aayog adopted 5 schools and mentored them towards developing sustainable
innovation ecosystem. As a coordinator, mentoring 5 colleges towards
innovation-driven activities, projects, and the development of innovation in
the academic ambience of the institution, from policymaking to process
implementation.
Administrative experience
- Brought functional transformation as the Student Development Cell Coordinator of 42 clubs in the institution and played a proactive role in the establishment of 36 clubs.
- Galvanized innovation model on the campus as the Convener of Sathyabama, IIC (Institution Innovation Council), and introduced the cluster model of innovation.
- Playing a key role in policy framing and designing mechanisms improving student life on campus as a Member of the Academic Council, Student Grievance Cell, Anti-Discrimination Cell, Internal Complaint Committee, Vision and Mission Committee, Publications Committee, and Entrepreneurship Cell of the institution.
- Brought transformational change in the training of Sathyabama IAS Academy as Incharge
- As Mentor for Change-NITIAYOG, Govt. of India, under the AIM program, school students are encouraged to develop innovative projects through Atal Tinkering Labs of Cholan Matriculation School, Kancheepuram, Sri Sathya Sai Educare, Chrompet, and in Government Schools, Chennai.
- Served as the Remote Centre Coordinator for Sathyabama in the IIT Bombay-NMEICT program.

- Curriculum Advisory Committee Member of Sri Manakula Vinayagar Engineering College
- Administered the successful conduct of the Mega Annual Technical Event TECHNO SUMMIT during 2018-2023 at Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology. In this event, around 1000 students across India participate every year.
- Transforming the learning process of students through 21-day learning activities: A step to encourage advanced learners
- Created an impact through the DUSKLIGHT program for undergraduate students at the University.
- Monitored and mentored numerous technical and non-technical events per year as the Coordinator of the Student Development Cell of Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology.
- Successfully organized ATALFDP, short-term courses, and DST-SERB-sponsored seminars.
- Coordinated Linux Workshop, the R Programming Workshop, and other activities as the Remote Centre Coordinator of IIT Bombay
- Founder and editor of THE ELECTRON magazine, which caters to the diverse technical and non-technical interests of students
