Dr. Meera Uday is a dedicated professional with a good experience of spanning 27+ years in Industry, Academics & Research and contributing towards the growth of Institutions. She is zealous to accept challenges and passionately contribute to the Organizational Development. Currently Heading MBA Program as a Director at Don Bosco Institute of Technology, Bangalore. Responsible for Academic Excellence, Administration, Institutional Brand Building, Research & Students Development. Additionally, she takes care of her own Consultancy “MU Consultants,” as a Director providing training support to the required Organizations’.

 

 

Venture and Services

 

After having an experience of more than 2 decades in Industry & Academics, she started a venture as an Entrepreneur, by sharing the knowledge as a Consultant and Trainer. Empanelled as a Consultant /Expert Trainer from NPC (National Productivity Council) under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Govt. of India, for carrying out Training Programmes for Govt. of India officials. In addition, she is known as a Corporate Trainer, training Senior employees of MNCs like Toyota, Mitsubishi etc.

 

Her venture offers unique services of training in Soft skills, Human Resource Management, Performance Management, Emotional Intelligence, Entrepreneurship, Total Quality Management, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, World Class Manufacturing, Inventory Management, Supply chain Management, Six sigma, and Related domains. Her team of Experts have executed several projects in the industry related to the same domains.

 

  

Inspiration and Leadership Journey

 

As an Academician and having a background in Industry, she realized the gap between Industry & Academics and therefore recognized that training from the grass root level has become very imperative, so as to prepare the workforce for the upcoming challenges and technological disruptions in the industry.

 

As a matter of fact, she has observed that many employees are in their comfort zone and are ignorant of the Business variations and fluctuations, which would lead them to critical stages of employment. These forethoughts and vision inspired her to start a venture to prepare a workforce that can sustain technological and business disruptions.

 

As far as Leadership is concerned, it is totally a combination of Servant Leadership and Situational style with a customer-centric approach, as she needs to cater to a variety of customers ranging from the Industry, Service Sectors, Educational Institutions and Young Graduates as well. When she focuses completely on understanding the big picture and connecting the dots between the employees and management with different corporate requirements by having a series of discussions, and also involving all stakeholders, it will definitely lead to success and fulfillment.

 

 

Professional Journey and Milestones

 

Dr. Meera Uday is basically an Engineer and started her journey with BEL—one of the Navaratnas and other MNCs—then moved to Academics while keeping in touch with the industry in parallel. Having a Research mindset and a constant drive to do something new all the time led her to execute several field projects. In fact, after being blessed with 2 kids, she completed her doctorate degree and continues to pursue research. Having worked in Several Leadership Positions, she had an opportunity to be a part of Rotary International as a President to serve the society and understand the people from a different perspective: their basic needs and hardships. As a President of WICCI—Women Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry, she interacted with women entrepreneurs—small, big entrepreneurs—and their journeys. Being associated with many professional Organisations like Awake (Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Karnataka) and likewise, the entire Journey has been so far very rewarding, being recognized with many Awards (Guinness Record), Best Academician, Best Leader, Copyrights and Patents for her research and so on. She always believes in touching the lives of People and making them smile in whatever format (by lending support financially or otherwise), and she firmly believes that’s her milestone and contributions to the entire humanity and Organizations’ across.

1. As an Academician and Director heading an Institute, she is responsible for Academic Excellence, administration, and institutional brand building.
2. As a Teacher, she is responsible for shaping the personality of students and the young generation, preparing them for the future.
3. As a Rotarian, she is committed to supporting the downtrodden and offering help wherever possible.
4. As a President of WICCI and as a Woman, she stands in solidarity with women across socio-economic backgrounds, supporting them through their struggles.
5. As an Entrepreneur, she is responsible for driving business growth.
6. As a family person, she prioritizes the health, wellness, and success of her family members, acting as a catalyst for their achievements.
