Hi, I am Akhil Gabbeta, a passionate cybersecurity professional driven by a mission to fortify digital frontiers. Armed with an engineering degree and years of competitive exam preparation, I embarked on a career in IT, where I witnessed the alarming rise of cyber threats and data breaches, particularly in the loan application sector.

 

This experience ignited my passion for cybersecurity, prompting me to acquire a network security certification and immerse myself in the study of cybercrime, data protection, and cybersecurity fundamentals. In October 2022, I took the bold step of leaving my IT job to fully dedicate myself to the field of cybersecurity, joining Hackerinthehouse as a network security trainer.

 

Collaborating with like-minded individuals, Soumyaranjan and Lohithakash Nandhan, we conducted cybersecurity training and awareness sessions across various colleges, culminating in the formal registration of our endeavor as HITH Technologies Pvt Ltd on April 19, 2023.

 

Today, I proudly serve as the Trainer, Director, and Chief Operating Officer, and now I’m serving as Co-founder & CEO of HITH Technologies, spearheading our company's mission to fortify digital defenses and safeguard individuals and organizations from the ever-evolving landscape of cyber threats. With an unwavering commitment to securing the virtual world, I stand as a trailblazer in the cybersecurity realm, dedicated to ensuring a safer digital future for all.

Could you tell us about the motivation or inspiration behind entering cybersecurity?

 

My path to cybersecurity wasn't just about finding a career; it was nurturing a burning passion ignited by two powerful truths.

 

You know, finding my way into cybersecurity wasn't as simple as just picking a career path. It was more like this burning desire that got ignited inside me from a couple of profound realizations.

 

The first one came from this book I read by Ankur Warikoo that said, "You don't find your passion; you grow your passion." That line just really struck a chord with me. It made me think that maybe this cybersecurity thing wasn't just something I was supposed to stumble onto, but rather a spark I needed to actively fan into a raging flame.

 

And then that spark got some serious fuel from seeing firsthand the devastating impacts of cyber threats. I'm talking about lives getting shattered and identities compromised - all from these breaches in our digital world. Those kinds of tragedies just shook me to my core, man. It unlocked this intense drive in me to become a guardian, to protect that digital frontier we're all navigating.

 

That's when another quote resonated with me, from Julie Thorn. She said, "If you don't sacrifice for what you want, what you want becomes the sacrifice." Leaving my cushy IT job to dive into cybersecurity training was a sacrifice I had to make to truly grow this passion into an all-consuming blaze within me.

 

Linking up with Soumyaranjan and Lohithakash at Hackerinthehouse allowed me to combine my technical know-how with this intense desire to empower others. With every training session, that fire in me just burned brighter. This wasn't just some casual career move; it was a full-on calling to fortify and defend our digital realms.

 

And now, as a co-founder of HITH Technologies, I wake up every morning fuelled by this passion I've nurtured through those sacrifices. I'm not just another cybersecurity pro; I'm a digital defender with a mission to safeguard identities in our increasingly virtual world.

 

This is way more than just a job for me. It's this relentless, all-consuming pursuit that was sparked by those eye-opening words of wisdom and gut-wrenching realities. Nurturing that little ember of passion into an unstoppable force - that's how this calling was born. And let me tell you, that blaze just keeps burning hotter with each passing day, fortifying my life's purpose of protecting the digital refuge we're all living in nowadays.

Soumyaranjan's journey is truly inspirational. Despite facing failure in his 12th exam and enduring doubts from others, his father's support and a gifted laptop ignited his passion for cybersecurity.

 

An incident involving cybercrime in his village drove him to immerse himself in ethical hacking, installing Kali Linux, and gaining expertise through internships. His dedication paid off as he earned recognition from renowned organizations like ChatGPT (OpenAI), NASA, the BBC, and KPMG for finding vulnerabilities.

 

When our paths crossed, I was struck by his brilliance and passion. Together, we formed the Hackerinthehouse family, harnessing our shared vision for cybersecurity entrepreneurship.

Soumyaranjan's journey proves that resilience and perseverance can transform adversity into triumph. What seemed like failure became a stepping stone to greatness, inspiring us all to conquer challenges and chase our dreams.

 

Next, we have the dynamic Nikhila Abbarla, our Chief Business Officer and a true force to be reckoned with. Nikhila's journey with HITH has been truly inspirational. We were childhood friends who shared a dream of creating something extraordinary together. Years later, when I approached Nikhila with the idea of starting a cybersecurity company called HITH, she didn't hesitate to leave her academic pursuits in Germany and join me as the Chief Business Officer.

 

Despite the challenges, the thrill of watching our dream come to life is unparalleled. HITH is a place where innovation meets determination, and Nikhila's vision and hard work have been crucial in pushing boundaries in the cybersecurity industry.

Hey there, folks! Akhil Gabbeta here. You asked me to share my achievements, and boy, have I had some incredible experiences!

 

It all started with this amazing venture called HackerInTheHouse. Through this platform, I gained a ton of respect and recognition in the startup world. It was an absolute honor when the prestigious IIT Hyderabad invited us to their Startup Summit in 2024. That was a game-changer, for sure!

 

But that's not all, folks! We were also sponsored by the renowned BITS Pilani to be a part of their Launch Pad Entrepreneurial Summit in 2024. Talk about rubbing shoulders with the best and brightest minds!

 

And let me tell you, the invitations just kept pouring in. KL University in Hyderabad had us as guest speakers and judges for their thrilling Shark Tank event. We got to share our insights and experiences with the next generation of entrepreneurs. It was truly humbling.

 

But wait, there's more! We recently received an invitation to the highly anticipated Startup Dangal - Startup Mahakumbh 2024, happening on June 28, 29, and 30. This is going to be a massive event, and we're stoked to be a part of it!

 

Oh, and did I mention that my team and I at HackerInTheHouse were featured in an article by the incredible folks at Karo Startup? Talk about putting us on the map!
