Dr. Javeed MD, Associate Dean
(R&D), Sree Dattha Institute of Engineering and Science
I am Dr. Javeed MD, working at Sree
Dattha Institutions, the founder of Agriculture Hub, and the co-founder of
EasyPrak AI Solutions Pvt. Ltd.
Educational and Professional Journey
I have done my Ph.D. from Mewar
University in the computer vision field and my B.Tech. and M.Tech. from
Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad.
Because I aspire to be an
entrepreneur and have launched my own company, I can tell you that the beginning was
terrible. For two years, everything was well. Then, for a variety of reasons
and a lack of experience, we went bankrupt, I lost all of my possessions, and I
was in deep debt. I had a tough time making ends meet, and many people even
felt my life was over.
Nonetheless, I got back on track and
began paying off my bills; it took about eight years, but I'm finally out of
debt now, and I want to pay off the last few in the near future. I learned who
belonged to me and who did not through the criticisms of others. Therefore, I
chose to present myself.
Achievements
I am a Guinness world record
achiever as I am the editor of the book, which is 19.4 feet tall and published
by ESN publications with more than 1.1 lakh pages. A resource person in many
faculty development programs and organized the FDPs through the Ministry of
Human Resources and Development and the Institution Innovation Council in
different topics and workshops for students to gain skills and knowledge.
I have given more than 15 keynote
speeches and research presentations at reputed conferences in India as well as
abroad in countries like Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Dubai, Nepal, etc. I
have reached 6 countries and guided many faculty and students. I have published
12 patents for my ideas, of which 1 was granted and 4 were selected by the
World Intellectual Property Organization. I have also received 13
international-level research awards, which include those for young scientists,
excellent research awards, and one national award for my social activities.
I have worked on and developed many
products with the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence algorithms like
street light automation, video streaming, and products for farmers like
automatic manure spreaders, drip irrigation techniques, automatic machines for
monitoring and predicting crop diseases, etc.
I have published more than 70
international research articles in reputed journals and conferences. I am an
editorial board member, an advisory board member, and a reviewer for more than
15 international journals. Organized 2 international conferences.
As a project coordinator, I have
guided and developed hundreds of projects in my 8 years of experience for
students, as well as motivated the students to develop products from their
projects as entrepreneurs. I am working as an Associate Dean (R&D), at Sree
Dattha Institute of Engineering and Science, Hyderabad, Telangana, India, and
also worked as the Head and Central Coordinator for R&D, Student Affairs in
the Sree Dattha Group of Educational Institutions, which is a group of two
engineering colleges, one pharmacy, and one polytechnic college. I have worked
as Head of the Department of ECE at Sree Dattha Institute of Engineering and
Science, Hyderabad, since June 2016. I worked as an embedded design engineer
and Sr. Embedded design engineer from January 2013 to May 2016 at Venky’s
Vision IT Solutions.
As my knowledge conjointly includes
with
- Embedded systems, very
large-scale integration, digital image processing, the Internet of Things,
artificial intelligence, and robotics domains;
- Embedded C, Matlab, Verilog,
VHDL, and Python languages;
- Matlab, Kiel, Xilinx, Modelsim,
MP Lab, Dsch, Micro Wind, Python Integrated Development Environments, and
Model-Based Environments;
- 8051, PIC, ARM, and Raspberry
Pi microcontrollers and processors;
- UART, SPI, I2C, and CAN
communication protocols;
- Arduino target boards will
enable designing and developing new products and performing research in
the electronics and computer science engineering domains.
Achieving the Guinness World Record
Yes, well, that was completely taken
care of by ESN publications, for which it has required years of hard work. We
need to choose the right path to achieve the record, and planning is very
important.
Work-Life Balance
Scheduling one's time well and
avoiding time wastage include getting up early (which, for this generation,
means 8 or 9 in the morning). Between 4:30 and 5:00 in the morning, I assess my
schedule for the day, make a list of everything I need to accomplish, and
figure out how to fit everything in. The backing of my loved ones is very
crucial.
Expert Advice
Do research for society so that it
can decrease the suffering of people, both physically and emotionally. That is
my advice to all the aspiring researchers out there. The academic world is
today mostly a farce, with exceptions from a few institutions. There has to
be a shift away from a lack of research, training, and education based on
research at academic institutions.
